I have never used the command intentionally (just by mistake). I haven't figured out an advantage to it (I like to micromanage)

If I had my choice it would be off by default...I had a similar situation happen to me...Loosing 8 entrenched isn't fun.

If you industrialize TX, Mississippi and Florida it would be cheaper. With any luck you should be able to have 70 to 100 WS coming in by the end of 61. I would be no help with advice with human players as I haven't played PBEM yet. Good luck to ya!

One of the main reasons is that steam has a huge user base that is use to buying games online.

I agree. As it stands now I aways send the Carolina dept forces up to Virgina, after the fall of Sumter. There is little reason to keep a force near the coast, although the AI will occasionally land a force to contest Norfolk. I'm sure Pocus will get this sorted at some point.

Someone posted a while back that the optimal TOE of a division is 3 arty, 2 cav with the rest being Inf. Not sure if this is entirely correct but that is what I try to do.

I don't want specific entry locations for troops either, but what I would like is a better filter system for troops. The way the roster screen works is unwieldy and counterintuitive. Like someone else said, if you click on the the location option, it sorts by first letter of the town/region the unit...

I usually industrialize Florida, TX and Arkansas. These are fairly cheap to upgrade and I generally have about a 100 war supplies coming in by the end of 61. I would not recommend relying on blockade runners to meet your WS requirements.

Increasing the number of division

I know this has been answered before but I couldn't find it in the search engine. Is the procedure to increase the number of divisions the same as it was when we had Div HQ units or has it been changed with the new system. Thanks edit...Do we still just edit the scn file in the same manner as before?

The units appearing in different regions happens to me a lot also. Sometimes if you just click on a stack it will move a region or two visually but still physically (by way of tool tips) be correctly positioned. I have gotten use to just placing them back to the correct region...

Just curious. Huger seems incompetent from his opening stats..Why would you utilize him as a corps commander. I usually sit him in a Corps stack for his arty bonus (till Alexander arrives)...He scares the heck out of me lol.

Same here, the rare instance that the Union goes on the offense in VA, it is usually with an inadequate force. I have never had a problem taking and holding Harper's Ferry as the Confederates. In my limited experience, the west is far more worrisome than the eastern theater.

Has anyone else noticed that the blockade options don't seem to be working properly? I have the standard rule option selected in a new 61 campaign (Confederate) and I haven't had to send my ships back to port for resupply for over a year.

I would like to be able to have multiple stances in a stack...Lets say I have a Corps stack with 3 divs and a independent Cav reg. It would be very useful to be able to have 1 div and a Cav unit on the offense to deal with enemy units trying to bypass your corps in a region and to have 2 Divs in def...

Possible Beta patch bug

With the new beta patch, I am no longer given the option to buy Brigs or any other ship in Texas (started a new 61 campaign). On the purchase ships screen, there are 3 different options to buy brigs that are in the deep south. I am wondering if this redundancy is intentional or a bug. Thanks
