Load time, multi core, etc...

After profiling the game (ACW for this post, I know its a NCP thread) with the Intel thread profiler. I see the lengthy load times are primarily due to fundamental design decisions in the software's architecture. The game's resources are highly skewed towards being easily modded (lots of little file...

This discussion is silly

I find this whole thread pointless. In effect I see that some players want to rationalize the results of a battle, such that each battle's results roughly corresponds to their expectations. The truth is that most historical battles/campaigns never went according to plan and HIGHLY variable results (...

However, the screenshots look...

Napolean's Campaigns

A monster indeed...that's why we could not decently handle it now...we need this game first to please its public, because the gamers will return to us with loads of ideas, suggestions and data for NCP2 :coeurs: That's what happened already with ACW, the game is what it is because of our fans input ...

Warning !! There will be some description of the game's content in the coming weeks here (we have to tease you a bit :fleb: !!)...but something you have to know is that the game covers "Campaigns"....it will handle each 'war' in a separate way, à la BOA, with almost no diplomacy except by events......

more NC observations

I've just now started the game, and don't have time today, and probably not much for the rest of the week (I'm in the process of moving) to really try the game out, but I did notice quite a few map errors in North Carolina, my home state. I don't have the specifics on most of the errors, though I w...

You can, via the Erie Canal, the Ohio, the Mississippi and the Gulf...all connected (just make sure no portion is frozen)...except may be the USS Michigan is too big to navigate the canal...I'll double check this :cwboy: The Michigan is ocean going only per my original post so it won't go though th...

Great Lakes and Naval Units

Let's try this once again. I know how to move shallow draft units through the Erie Canal. The USS Michigan is in Erie, PA. Exactly how do I get this ocean going vessel to the ocean? I have a monitor built at Niagara, NY. It obviously won't cross the Falls to get to get to Erie, PA, and I haven't fou...
