Confederate War Supplies?

My biggest problem in my first playthrough with the Confederacy is getting enough war supplies. I'm EARLY in the game, but while I can bring in a little bit of cash and manpower through political means, I find no solution to the war supplies bottleneck. I understand this was a reality for the Confed...

Wolfpack: An outmanned army should be happy with even casualty numbers, even though that would obviously mean they had a higher casualty rate. Aurelin: To lose as many men as your opponent, when you have an army that is out numbered, is a Phyrric victory at best Why would an outnumbered army be happ...

Your line of reasoning here vis a vis higher casualties on offense is correct, but actually strongly suggest that, if anyone was the butcher, it was Lee, not Grant. According to Fuller, in his book Grant and Lee , from 1862-63 Grant's average killed and wounded was 10.03%, while Lee's was 16.20%. T...

How do I change sound volumes?

Is there any way I can change the volume between the music and sound effects. I'm sure I've overlooked something, but all I've seen for the in-game menu is the option to turn either music or sound effects off or on. In searching through the settings files I only find the same. As it currently stands...

Le Ricain, I found this posted on http://ncmuseumofhistory.org/exhibits/civilwar/about_section1b.html On February 28, North Carolina voters rejected a call for a convention to discuss the state's relationship with the Federal government. However, support for the Union eroded rapidly in April with th...

Just my 2 cents worth

Here are my thoughts. . . I really like the idea of concise pre-war bios for the leaders on tooltips. I feel like this a nice addition that few would disagree with if not for the idea that the time and effort should be spent on other matters (possibly more detailed ACW bio info :sourcil: ). However,...

Le Ricain, as I said, I can't vouch for the authenticity of the numbers, but I was wondering as well. As Christof mentions, there may have been a secondary vote. I need to do more research on this.

I happened to find a site that seems to have quite a few maps from the era if anyone is interested: http://www.davidrumsey.com/view.html There are a couple of different methods listed for viewing. I used the first in the list, though you do have to disable pop-ups from this site to allow it to load ...

Be careful with secession voting alone

I hope this will not be used to strictly reflect anything in game, but a list of secessional voting in North Carolina can be found here: http://members.aol.com/jweaver303/nc/convvote.htm I cannot vouch for the authenticity of these numbers, but it was all I could find on short notice. As with the re...

Geographical errors in North Carolina

I've just now started the game, and don't have time today, and probably not much for the rest of the week (I'm in the process of moving) to really try the game out, but I did notice quite a few map errors in North Carolina, my home state. I don't have the specifics on most of the errors, though I wi...
