I also would buy a DD version and then buy the boxed version, did that with Europa Universail 3 and with Forge of Freedom. :niark:

I wouldn't be to quick to assume that the English Civil war wouldn't sell here in the US. I for one was a huge fan of Avalon Hills boardgame Kingmaker and I know that the computer version would have done well if it had been done right. I would buy it for sure using this engine :niark:

Thanks Pocus, thats what I was hoping for. There can always be routes, but they should be rare in large scale battles.

I would like to see Disease and attrition modeled as well, but I hope that they are not as brutal as in FOF. In all the AAR's I have read and in my own playing time disease hes made massing troops to advance a nightmare :bonk: Players have been hit multiple times with losses in the 10's of thousands...

Tremy, you are quite right. I am 48, long time wargamer and I also don't have the time, patience or eyesight to try and learn a game system that makes it harder instead of easier to pick up the basics. BOA was so refreshing in how simple it was to learn but took a while to get good at. I believe tha...

Losses in Battle

Hi, wanted to ask this question about losses. One of the things that Forge of Freedom does that really just ruins things for me sometimes is after a battle the losses are so one sided. Now having read numerous Civil War tomes :niark: about battles and campaigns in the Civil war I have very rarely se...

After spending alot of hours learning Forge of Freedom, I am actually looking forward to the release of this game, as the interface seems much easier to handle (I own BOA) and it looks like it willgive good accuracy of the Civil war. Plus it looks like you can tweak things to make it more or less ac...

Same issue, in 1775 campaign I have New York milita that can march to albany but cant ride the river boats there? The boats can go by themselves, but when I load any milita or a supply unit on them they wont go, get the message "ships must enter either a water region or one with a port". Why have th...

Wanted to agree with the original poster, I have the same issue with scrolling he has. It's not at all something i can't live with, just one of those things that kind of gets under your skin after awhile :niark: Also, EXCELLENT first effort on this game engine. I am playing the French and Indian War...

Thats so true, War in the PAcific is IMHO a great game but it takes forever to finish a game :bonk:
Once I have a clue about how this one plays I will try a BPEM game and see if I can post an AAR :niark:

Just bought this game

Well after reading the posts here I decided to buy this game. Several people here I know from the WITP forums and if they like this is must be good :niark: I have always liked this period of history, and can not remember any really decent games for it since I stopped playing boardgames many years ag...
