no error message. I run the patch. It seems to install normally. But when I run the game itself, the version reads 1.13b.

Supply question

I have a division in Hard, Ky., on the rail line, that is not drawing supply. At least I believe it is not drawing supply. It is in passive mode, all the regions between it and Louisville are controlled by my side (Union). Other units are drawing supply with no difficulty, even though they are not o...

When can I form corps?

This question has probably been asked a dozen times before, but it's November '61 and I still can't form corps for the USA.

I re-ran the turn. The 'invasion' takes place out of Upper-New York. The invading rebels steam down the Hudson River and disappear.

Virginia offensive?

I am playing the Grand Campaign. It is early August, 1861. During the prior weeks, northern papers called for an immeadiate offensive into Virginia. I sent two divisions into Manassas. Both came from Fairfax. Additionally, I sent a brigade in from Prince George's county. After taking the town, and i...

I'm no expert on 19th century military justice, but today's code punishes moral and disciplinary failings, not tactical incompetence. Assuming the code then was reasonably close to what it is today, court martialing a general for losing a battle just doesn't make sense. (If there's some disciplinar...

New Orleans supply

Burnside has captured New Orleans and inflicted a crushing blow on the
rebs. The navy bypassed the forts at the mouth of the Missisippi. Will these
forts impede supply to my forces in New Orleans? Historically, the forts
were abandoned after the fall of New Orleans.

Mobile assualt abandoned?

Farragut and company sailed into Mobile Bay, exchanged fire with the forts and then promptly returned to New Orleans. Is this a bug or expected behavoir? I believe the Fleet was set to assault posture and had several divisions of troops aboard.

Forts and supply

The Union forces have seized New Orleans (rather smartly if I do say so myself), but the two forts at the mouth of the Mississipi remain in rebel hands. In real life, if I recall correctly, the forts were eventually abandoned by the rebels as unsustainable. Will that occur now that New Orleans is in...

In days long ago, when nights were darker, stars brighter, conflicts were resolved in the civilized manner of old. Dice, the bones of fate, were the weapons of choice. When the Gods smiled, snake eyes appeared and justice prevailed. But when dastardly devils arose from the deep, with their many eye...

The wiki seems to indicate that a division actually increases CP costs. Quote: Each unit in a region has a certain Command Cost: Basic unit (brigade or regiment/squadron/battery): 1 to 4 Division: 4 Army HQ: 4 The previous paragraph states that creating a division will optimize CP useage but gives n...

I'm not seeing a tremendous improvement in CPs by creating divisions. In fact, I don't see any improvement. Am I missiong something (very likely).

I'd like to see the House Committee on the Conduct of the War modeled. Perhaps if a Union General has a very bad day the committee would be activated. Subsequently, any generals being defeated might be sacked by the committee.

Increased zoom possible?

The area around Cairo, Illinois is becoming very crowded with ships, brigades and leaders. The same thing occurs around New Orleans during amphibious operations. Would it be possible to increase the zoom level so that only one or two areas were visible?

Thanks,

One other question, then. How reliable is the information with regards to enemy strength? I'm playing with FOW, so I'm tempted to take the information thus provided with a grain of salt.
