Not really talking about stability. I was referring to the post further down that had a list of hotfixes for 1.01g. I want to know if those things have been fixed and applied to 1.01h or if I have to apply those hotfixes myself.

Are hotfixes needed for the 1.01h patch?

Just wondering if all those hotfixes for 1.01g are still applicable to 1.01h or have all of those problems been fixed?

I recall during ACW I had Leonidas Polk's Corps on very agressive when he smashed the Yankee troops and then he broke trough and was threathening Ohio and India. The problem was that he had to cross a river were he encountered a smaller Yankee Corps (or perhaps more or less a corps). The battle res...

LOL, you are SO predictable. You've been dying to make some sort of statement like this, haven't you? You've always gotta attempt to find a way to start some sort of flame war and drive a wedge between us and AGEOD don't you? Somehow, unsurprisingly, I knew that eventually a remark of this sort wou...

I am in 1.01f. Build depot options are not available if your force has no sufficient supply elements to build them (which by the way is not a good idea in Africa :) ) (PS: indeed forts are built in just one turn...bug ? I will have to check it out) Regards Thanks for responding. I understand needin...

Even though this is the 1st game I bought develop...

The first lesson is that 'Perfection does not belong to this world!' ;) :mdr: The second I know since the last 12 years in the game industry is that there will be always complaints on the first release of the game, some of them right ( because games are by essence almost never finished upon release...

I think I asked a very legitimate question. I never said the game was unplayable. I said that the game in it's current state is frustrating and that in my opinion it could not have been thoroughly tested. Yes there was a 12 turn demo released. Turn processing in the demo wasn't as slow as it is now....

Never I hope, but I know that is just wishful thinking. The thing I love the most about these games is how the developers are always tweaking, adding and tinkering with the game. Not only that makes the game more interesting because I know it is evolving but that also increases it's replayability a...

I must say I do not understand your experience with this scenario. I just finished it, and won easily playing the Brits. Surely I lost a few batles, but in the end my numbers were obviously overwhelming. Also, I did not experience the absurd losses in specific battles you guys report - although the...

When is this game actually going to be finished?

I give up. I've tried my best to work through the bugs and to like this game. Now I'm getting frustrated. For every minute of gameplay, I spend almost 5 minutes processing the turn. I want to play the game not stare at the screen waiting. If I had a poor system then I could understand waiting but I ...

Well, if you would offer some proof that would be great. From what I have seen, the results are as I have said, that troops were captured, not killed as was claimed. Please provide a screenshot showing that the troops were killed. The system is the way it is because they did test, they did actually...

I have offered proof on the Paradox forums. I even posted a screenshot. You responded by trying to explain my results away through game mechanics. I'd post a link but I don't know how. My example showed 11,000 Britsh soliders being literally wiped out by 750 Boers. The British took 9500 casualties c...

Actually, you have to read the stats carefully, check the victory point page and you will see how many prisoners you have captured, I bet that there are tens of thousands there. Captured weaponry is seen on map, captured soldiers are seen in events and your VP ledger. So no, those soldiers are not ...

Strategy guides are great. But are also pointless if the game isn't finished before writing the guide. PoN seems to be a work in progress. A complete strategy guide at this point would be a waste of time since we don't know what will change. The guide in the Paradox forums is great for the game in i...

IMHO there are less bugs than believed. there are some of course, but most "bugs" are tied to data balancing and lack of clarity of the GUI. I feel for example inflation is somewhat needed to run the economy and diplomatic data has to be adapted to help AIs to act smarter in diplomatic affairs. I d...

Battle Results Don't Make Sense

Don't know if it's just the Boer War scenario or all the scenarios but the battle results do not make any sense. Just had a battle where almost 11k British soldiers suffered 100% casualties against 712 Boers. That's nearly impossible odds. Almost like the stand of the 300 at Thermoplyae. Something i...

My biggest concerns are: 1. That it will take many patches and a couple of years before PoN is patched to playability. 2. That Paradox won't allow the type of patching needed to allow PoN to fulfill it's potential. 3. That all patches come in the form of expansions or dlc the same as other Paradox t...

You know Gray it's really not your place to lecture customers. You did excellent "volunteer" work on AACW but that should be as far as it goes. You lecturing or disagreeing with other customers only stirs the pot. If there is a problem let the people that get paid straighten it out. Volunteering is ...

This is one of the issues I have with the game's command structure....there's little or no turnover. I wonder if it could be slightly MORE likely that division commanders get killed in combat....and that random commanders are generated to replace them or something? Oh I've seen plenty of division c...

Since we're on the topic of what to do with McClellan, I have a related question. Does Athena ever replace or relieve generals? I've played well over a couple dozen games and don't think I've ever seen an enemy general replaced. Does it ever happen?

The same thing has been happening to me. I'm beginning to think that maybe it's due to leader ratings. The French leaders may be rated a bit too high in attack/defense and it gives such a huge bonus that Coalition leaders can't match up with them. One scenario I played had Davout with attack/defense...

As with all other AGEOD games, I find this game very enjoyable. My only problem is that I'm not really well versed in Napoleonic history and so some of the battle results I'm getting seem a little illogical. In one battle I caused over 30k Coalition casualties at the expense of less than 500 French ...

Pocus is this a bug or WAD?

In the 1.06b patch units were changed from having 18 elements to having 12 elements. Is this a bug or working as intended? Personally I think 12 elements works a lot better but wanted to ask as there was much discussion about it while you were on vacation. BTW welcome back guys. Hope your vacations ...

I'm not so sure this is a bug. After playing with 1.06b for awhile I think it's a tweak. The game seems more historical numberwise with 12 elements as opposed to 18. Since each element represents a regiment or battery, it's theoretically possible to have divisions with up to 18k men in them. Seems a...

This won't solve any of the problems, as who is to say that the AI won't just form all HQs in the East anyway? Also, this will totally mitigate the importance of the command and control system, requiring a set of events activating units (as now is the case for divisions), taking power from the play...
