Further info: In the Marston Moor scenario you get the battle planner for Leslie vs Newcastle when playing as the parliamentarians but not for Newcastle vs Leslie when playing as the royalists. Surely it should be the same for both?

What exactly are the parameters for the battle planner to kick in? Just played a game as the parliamentarians and it worked as expected. But in another game as the royalists it doesn't seem to trigger as I'd expect. I thought from the manual that if you have a 2 or 3 star leader on both sides, you g...

Cracked it! Entirely accidentally (I was trying to do something else) and it wasn't the way described in the manual.

Can't be it. I've taken York (there's a Parliamentary flag over it) and it's got walls. They will not enter it. They just spent the winter in tents outside.

Am I missing something here? As far as I can tell, to enter a city, you just add the special order to "enter structure" to enter a city and (assuming it isn't already occupied by the enemy) your force automatically does so when it arrives (presumably immediately if it isn't travelling anyw...
