Re: Rising Sun

Hi everybody and sorry for the delay ! I had to stop momentarily but this AAR is not dead and should reach completion very soon ! 1889 (may to december) : Not much happened during that period as the Japanese Empire remained at peace, focusing on balancing its economy : due to coal shortages, several...

Re: Rising Sun

Hi, played for another 2 years and a half and it's now may 1889. As I said previously, I had no definite plan and wanted to simply manage my economy, finish building my modern navy and focus on my african expansion while waiting quietly for 1890 and a new batch of techs to research. But, as early as...

Hi, Thank you for your offer : playing PON with real opponents must be great ! However, confinement because of the virus is about to end in France and I'll soon be back at work : being a skipper I may spend long period of times at sea ( weeks, sometimes months ! ) without any possibility to connect ...

1880 to the present game year (1887) : After the war with China (and Prussia), Japan enjoyed a few years of peace and focused on internal affairs and colonial expansion. Re: Question: Selecting units by SelectSubUnits

Hi, I can't really help you directly but I can give you some info since I had lots of problems with Japanese fleets not upgrading correctly myself ! Thing is while my fleet were made of wooden ships (elements) the games considered the units as being BB07 models as I discovered when I looked into the...

Thank you for your answer ! Yes, I soon discovered that the only way to get back Puerto Rico was to script an exchange of territory. I have another question about this peace deal : After seizing the Phillipines, the spanish Pacific Islands and all their African colonies my warscore was a paltry 32 !...

Hi all. As you may have guessed from the title, this will be an AAR of a grand campaign I'm currently playing as Japan. I did not plan to write a report at first and I've already played over half the game : current year is 1886 as I start ! Before going on I'll write a short summary of what has take...

Hi, After a short war in the Pacific and West Africa ( March/August 1885) Japan obtained Guam, Puerto Rico and the Marianas islands from Spain in a peace deal. However, Spain was also at war with the USA (my allies) during the same period and, at the time the peace treaty took effect, Puerto Rico wa...

HI, playing as Japan I started to run out of steel in 1883 despite having built all the available industries. I decided to look more closely at the problem and discovered that I was still using level 1 steel shops and could not yet upgrade them to level 2. I found this to be pretty strange since mos...

Hi, Thanks for your answer Loki. Hi, I'd like to know if prestige rating has any influence on diplomacy : as Japan, I just overtook the British ( it's 1883 in my game and I'm now the n°1 in prestige ) and it seems that my relations with other countries are degrading faster than before ! Hi, I think I can help you. You only have a few options to go over 35% CP and they may require different conditions before being playable ( "School" is not one of those since it requires you to have already 45% CP !) 1- "Military Outpost" : will increase CP by 5% but requires MC....

HI, currently playing the GC as Japan ( 1878 so far ) I'm having many different issues regarding the Japanese force pool (I already wrote a topic about it earlier ). Building railroads in foreign countries

Hi,

I'd like to know if there is any way to allow the building of railroads in a foreign country when you have a trade agreement with it : so far, this seems impossible in the game but was often done IRL.

Thanks for your help,
