my game played fine until i tried to patch it from 1.03 to the latest version now i keeps saying i have an invalid user key and when i try to tyoe it in again in agesettings it says "impossible de creer le fichier"

I got this game like forever ago and decided to start playing it again and it worked fine until I tried to patch it to the latest version now it wont load saying that my serial number is invalid i went to settings and typed it in again it it says "impossible de creer fichier"
