Looking through the Wars of Succession manual, the unit filters aren't mentioned in the "Shortcut Keys" section. They are also missing from most manuals although they are included in every AGEod game. That seems strange for such a useful feature.

It sounds like you need to use the unit filter keys.

CTL-F1: hide locked and fixed units
CTL-F2: hide enemy stacks and fleets
CTL-F3: hide friendly land units
CTL-F4: hide all stacks and fleets

The only thing that I really agree with him on is that Wars of Succession is not a good introduction to AGEod games for beginners. I always recommend Alea Jacta Est when people ask for a first game. Wars in America 2 is even better, but it isn't on Steam.

Neat info, but a couple of them try to compress far too much information into a single map. The Historyatlas link in particular is like a plate of spaghetti.

Thanks for the advice, but it turns out that I didn't have to fire the event. Within another year, the Confederacy declared war on the United States, and so it has started up again on its own.

I've been trying the easy East Prussia 1914 scenario and noticed that in all games, the other side, no matter who I play, always loses with negative thousands of victory points. Is this deliberate to make the scenario easy to play, or is it a bug?
