Yep. Has a date too, I think. This is in the lower right corner of the black screen before the main menu comes up. Dunno if if it shows anywhere else.

I found it helped me to not think I needed to do a full play through from the get go. I ran through the first 6-10 turns focusing on different aspects and ignoring the rest. Then I'd restart, applying what'd I learned and expanding to new things. The familiarity of doing the same stuff over and over...

Sounds like you maybe didn't get install path for the patch correct. First time I did it, I had an extra "Civil War II' in the path.

Command & Control Tutorial Video

Hi guys, I'm starting a new series of more formalized tutorials to present the information in a more concise manner then is in my Let's Learn series. The first tutorial is what I'm calling Command & Control. It covers combat power, the command structure, activation and postures. Hopefully this will ...

I've had the exact same experience. I've tried dropping it to low and it seems to make things a bit too static. I didn't do a great deal of playing at low, so it might not have a valid test. I'm currently keeping it at normal and reducing the activation bonus to 0. That seems to have reduced the kam...

Thanks for the encouragement. I did make a mistake in how I explained supply lines. I've posted a short correction in episode 13.

Let's Learn AGEOD Civil War 2 Video Series

I've started what I thought was going to be a Let's Play of CW2 but it turned out to be more of a tutorial. There's a bit of stuff at the beginning explaining my philosophy of how I was going to approach the Let's Play that might get a little tedious. If I had realized I was going to end up doing a ...

You don't have delete anything if you don't copy them over in the first place. I do not copy over any of the folders that Clovis' instructions say to delete. I used a file compare utility to ensure I got the same results as with the original instructions.

What house rules do you use?

I'm curious about what house rules folks use, both against the ai to prevent exploiting ai weakness and in pbem to prevent gamey tactics.

Decatur and Stewart TN linked, Bug?

I've been playing Shiloh scen over and over trying to learn and couldn't figure out how the rebs keep moving armies into my rear without causing a battle with my units in Henry and Humphries Tn. Decatur Tn(576) and Stewart Tn(562) have a movement link between them that shows when the shift key is pr...

Oh well. I learned quite few things doing this. I wanted to remove all the shading for uncontrolled areas, so I figured out how to edit a scenario to remove the Confederates and transfer control of all regions to the Union. I wanted all regions in clear weather, so I figured out what controlled that...

Printable Maps

I created a strategic map from multiple screenshots. I enhanced the state borders and names to make them show up better. There are two sizes. The small one will fit on a single sheet. The large one is poster size. (AGEod guys, let me know if this steps on toes and I'll remove it.) (right click and '...

Would it be possible to increase the seniority bonus given for success in battle for the first few months? That would simulate the 'man of the hour' effect that got McClellan promoted without forcing it in thru artificial means.
