mise a jour? Sorry?

An update. Bohémond is a Francophone, so I meant it as a little Seven Years' War joke.

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

Another great game that could use a little fine-tuning -- I can't wait! I am busy playing it. No anticipated modding. :) Perhaps DVX confused it with WIA? Hmm, now that you mention it, the French and Indian War scenario for WIA2 could use a little « mise à jour ». Just a thought :innocent:

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

We are working on Honnor of War in order to make them work properly and that besieged faction can offer them too. This would be a huge gameplay improvement. In my last playthrough, I found that the AI would usually accept Honours of War when I offered them and that my own besieged units would accep...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

If you are advanced in the game, has the fleet ever been captured? I have only ever played against the AI and they do attack the treasure fleet from time to time, but never very effectively. I usually send Du Casse with some ships to join it as an escort. Château-Renault is too valuable as a fleet ...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

Regarding Iberville, he is locked for 25 turns or so at the beginning. When unlocked you can use him, and the cosairs units, to raid. Please confirm. Iberville unlocked for me around turn 4-6 when most Bourbon units unlocked. The corsair unit had a 'stationary' status (a grey ribbon rather than a r...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

I just finished a Bourbon campaign (I'll take a little break and then give the Grand Alliance a shot) and I noticed a few issues with decisions in the end game: (1) Tory Government never unlocked for me even though my morale and Anti-Bourbon sentiment were in the required range. (2) Conversely, Perf...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

You are correct, units costs have been reworked. Money will be the key as manpower shortage was not an an issue in this period. Regards Ok, that makes sense. Maybe consider either increasing the amount of WS needed per unit or reducing the amount of WS generated? Despite selling WS every time the d...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

I started up a new game as the Bourbons and the Lines of Brabant worked perfectly this time (in my first game I received a message in red text saying that it was no longer valid). Have the monetary costs of replacements increased in this mod? As France, the cost of a single line infantry replacement...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

I'm at 1704 in a Bourbon campaign and things are progressing nicely so far. This is really a fantastic mod and you all should be proud of it. As a huge fan of this game, I'm extremely grateful to see that there's a fanbase dedicated to improving it. Naval strategy is much improved and I appreciate t...

Re: 1701 WSS campaign AAR : No Bourbon for Spain

I deleted the mod and made a fresh re-install of the entire game before I installed the mod again, but I'm having the same issues with no stacks appearing on the map. 11:47:20 PM (Reporting) User: mikel Computer: LAPTOP-KPQFUJLG 11:47:20 PM (Reporting) Loading general settings 11:47:21 PM (Reporting...

For missing Stacks on Map, could you try CTRL+F4 while in game. Regards I tried CTRL + F4 and the stacks do not appear on the map. Re: 1701 WSS campaign AAR : No Bourbon for Spain

I am playing in English, although I can switch to French if that works better in-game. Here are the screenshots showing the selected stacks but empty maps. I also included shots of the mismatched tabs on the strategic atlas (the map appears under the 'various' tab, for example). It won't let me atta...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

Hello Could you please post a screenshot of the campaign map with one stack selected and also one with the mismatched tabs ? Are you playing in french ? Could also post the mainlog (WSS_Mod/Logs) ? As attachment are not allowed in this forum, you can post them in the AAR Thread. Regards The WSS AAR...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

I just installed the mod and it looks great so far! The expanded naval/colonial areas add a new dimension to the War of the Spanish Succession as the first globalised conflict. However, a big issue I'm having is that the armies are not showing up on the map. They exist, I can select them, but the ic...

Re: Mod for 1701 WSS campaign

I am so incredibly excited for this mod! Let me know if you want any help with colonial units and events (René Duguay Trouin's capture of Rio de Janeiro could be very cool). I am a professional historian of the period.

Re: A few quick questions as the Bourbons...

I completely agree. It's a real shame that the colonial areas are inaccessible and untouched by either events or decisions. Although they didn't play as large a role as they would in the Seven Years War, there was still the capture of Port Royal in Acadia, the failed campaign against Québec, Ibervil...

Fantastic game! Please don't abandon!

WSS is perhaps the best AGEOD game I have ever played. It could be truly epic with a bit more work (I echo the comments made by a few others on this thread that the off-map boxes need to be made available in order to open up the colonial side of the conflict). It's a shame that Philippe Thibault is ...
