Nice little gem . Played as the British/Colonials and it was real fun (Thought I'd try it before delving in to the West Front meat grinder scenarios).
No spoilers except a a few of the tactics I learned in Revolution Under Siege you can apply in this scenario.
Okay I see what I was doing wrong. I let the Germans help me fight the Reds and that sucks Victory Points from whatever the Finns had gained. I was doing quite well-but it took some time. Then the German convoy showed up and the clock started ticking on my Victory Points. The VP's started to be dedu...
I mean the final victory point tally being a negative number in the F9 screen in the TOTAL VP box. I own Espana 1936, American Civil War and all the AJE series and I've never seen that. Also never in any demos.
Title says it all. I'm playing the small campaign 1918 as a White Finn-singleplayer. I'm taking all the Red cities-but half way through the campaign after taking most of the cities (except Helsinki) my in my Victory Points Totals I start losing points. At the end of the scenario I'm in the negative ...
I just purchased the main game and the entire set of games for Ala Jacta Este. In applying the latest patch 105 patch do I.... A) Patch to 105 after I install main game THEN add the additional Spartacus, Parthian Wars, Terror of Rome, Cantabrian games? OR B) Install ALL of them and then apply the 10...
Well I'll report back once there is a clash. Don't know when though. Just at the start of this scenario. But just for the sake of argument-wouldn't any foot military unit fight? Though not very well if under attack-no matter where they are located. Can't see them just sitting there. ________________...
Coming up against the Greeks-Pyrrhus now in BoR. Blockading the Boot of Italia-so I know eventually I am going to encounter opposition from sea forces from Greece to break the blockade. I want to save my best for land combat. Will urban militia work on ships? Hey I'm playing Rome-we're by nature lan...
Are slave revolts a result of the subversion? Playing against the AI in 3rd Saminite War and all of a sudden one of these revolts popped in a coastal city mid campaign. Have enough Militia in the city to hold them at bay-but no Legions to spare to put down this rabble.
Love the game.
One subtle point. It's not clear to me if Microsoft Essentials corrupted the downloads on both computers OR disabled the patch file/compressed file once you try to open them -whether compressed or uncompressed. I do know I had my AV off when I redownloaded the files AND successfully started to insta...
SUCCESS!!!!!!!! I turned off Microsoft Essentials on my spare Win-7 32 Bit computer and the WinRAR opened up as normal and extracted the 1.04 patch. The Patch installed normally. Evidently Microsoft Essential corrupted every download of...
Thanks Durk and Arsan for getting back. Sorry -none of those solutions worked. I installed this Matrix download on 2 different hard drives on one computer Win7 64 bit and on another computer Win 7 32 bit. And I get the same decompression error after I update the game via it's update. The patch will ...
Having problems getting the 1.04 patch to extract or even update the Birth of Rome game I downloaded from Matrix today. The updater downloads a the 1.04 patch-but it doesn't apply because in the game start UI corner it says 1.02. When I checked inside the main game folder I found in a file named PAT...
