These units have a little brownish diagonal line that warns you that it is a slow or static unit, the same one that fortress artillery has.

My French militia move fine. Is it mud or snow? Did not play as the French yet, but I can confirm that British (a crazy amount of troops actually), Russian and Spanish militias move VERY VERY slowly. It takes around two weeks to cross one region, a task that normal units do in 1 to 3 days on average.

Militia units

I get why fortress artillery is an immobile or slow moving unit, but why on Earth is militia a slow moving (it takes more than two weeks to move one region on average) is beyond me. Yes, I know that militias during this time largely stayed in their home area and were useless for offensive actions. S...

Oh, and the treaty of Pressburg for some reason just removed all my forces from Austria (I am Prussia and do not have any other alliance except for Saxony) and nullified my conquest. I presume that this cannot be WAD. Also, historically, the loses for 1805 Austria campaign were maybe 10% of what the...

Is AI even on, and other observations

I have just played 60 turns as Prussia, and France has completely trashed the Austria. Half a million Austrian causalities and 100k Russian causalities. War score is over 300, and most of Austria (almost every major city, including Wien, Buda, Pest, Prague, Venice, etc.) is occupied by France for qu...

Here's the basics of how Satellites and Annexations will work. There will be one annexation card and one satellite available at any given time. Satellites will require 3-6 months (haven't decided yet) to enact from the time the card is played. If a conquered minor, it will cost 50 EP and a roll is ...

French vs AI January, 105 Campaign, 1.02 Beta: 1) When I choose the "Annex Hannover" Event, I pay the 50 EPs, and the "seal" shows up as chosen. On the next turn, the EPs have been refunded, and the Event remains in my event choices - it doesn't trigger. I suspect it's because Hannover is now Frenc...

Verdun

Just curious if anyone is playing an awesome (if laggy) WWI multiplayer FPS Verdun? I am pretty much only playing TEAW, Verdun and WON these days, and it is always interesting to do a few turns in TEAW and then switch to Verdun and enjoy WWI in FPS. I have always wondered if there is any fellow Verd...

More I'm thinking about this, there's events for transferring money. I'm thinking of using those (probably dropping the amount down from 500 to 100) and making 1 for each major power. Second, might do same with horses. Make them events. Transferring ownership of regions would be RGCs. Drop one for ...

If recruits jenizaros, lose 3 points NM per unit. You can look at the tooltip. Nice, I actually like this option. It forces the Ottoman player to reform its army before engaging Austria (instead of taking advantage of French invasion), because there is not enough troops in Europe to beat the Austri...

Ottomans losing NM when recruiting: WAD?

As in title. Every unit I recruit deducts 1 NM. Is this WAD or a bug? Also, Caucasian Tribes and Inguchia start the game at war with Ottomans (tooltip says so), but not at war in diplomacy screen. Even if you declare war on them, when you press wars tab in diplomacy, it does not show it. You have to...

Winning battles and capturing enemy cities also brings ep (especially winning huge battles and destroying enemy units). I think there is plenty of EP in the game (it is 500 turns after all). 1. Just turn off automatic replacements in your game settings. I always play with manual replacements, AI is really not all that great with these. 2. I agree that the current system is not very good, but I think that actually TEAW and CWII replacement system would be a much better fit for this game than RoP. Sealion is a lot of fun

I just want to say thank you to the devs who did not only give us first patch in less than two weeks, but also included a new grand campaign in it. Sealion is a lot of fun, even though GB is doomed no matter what, so there is probably some balancing needed. Also, replacements are better now, but I s...

NM calculations are off

I was testing Sealion campaign and in three turns I have captured London. NM calculations are off, as you can see in the photo. Even if London was supposed to be 50 instead of 150 NM (and it clearly says it is 150 in objective tab), it is still of by 1. Also, how come that GB can continue fighting (...

Are you saying peace options cost too much? Or you feel there are options that are missing and are vital to the game? Bit of both, with more focus on options that are missing. My ideal diplomacy system would allow the annexation of minors (1 to 2 cities) with a penalty in relations with everyone, b...

If your war score is high enough, you can offer peace and it gives a variety of options. Pay reparations, Claim Regions, Liberate and demobilize. This could be used as a basis for a more open diplomatic system. Agree, I do not suggest changing the diplomacy tab, but simply changing the values withi...

I would pay extra for a "dynamic diplomacy" DLC as I realise this would involve a considerable investment of time for the developers. Well, it was just a suggestion, the number is subjective of course. It might be only 50%. It depends on balance, but the point is that you would have to defeat enemy army in field in order to annex territory. That is how it worked during this period. You cannot simply occupy a province while they ar...

The good, the bad and the ugly: Game overview and a suggestion for dynamic diplomacy

The good: This is the best AGEOD game yet. It is also full of potential, and hopefully we will see a DLC that focuses on diplomacy (for multiplayer) and a DLC that has 1812 and 1809 starts (1812 start would be perfect for PBEMs). The map is beautiful, the game is relatively smooth and new ledgers, ...
