It's not formed properly, or at least to how it formed and worked historically. Also, wish that the whole expeditionary forces wasn't part of the diplomacy model...better if it worked like Civ War series

I understand but it's mightily annoying : I have had it happen to me several times in vanilla (I have been playing Vicberg's mod for the last couple of weeks) since the April beta to still have the first 50 turns go that way (playing the august campaign): - am at war with Asutria - Prussia declares...

It shouldn't juste make you lose VPs, but make the alliance disappear AND the issue is a UI issue more than a code issue : the player should have a pop up or at least a red message telling him his ally has been DOWed and asking him to honour or not his alliance (at the cost of losing said alliance)...

The code is quite intricate but if I remember well a major has no formal obligation to respect an alliance with a minor, but it will lose some VP instead. I gotta admit, this response surprised me a bit. Not what I was expecting. It puts the onus on the wrong party by standard experience. Usually t...

With Bavaria as a full on ally of France and France amid a peace treaty with Prussia with some turns left on it, Prussia declares war on Bavaria (again the southern Germany thing, don't get it). Why is this also not a de facto war on France? Not to mention the illogic of it, now France can't defend ...

Improvement

Gave the game a six months rest because it was clear there were a lot of things to be improved. Glad to see that some of them are, like not nearly as many obliteration battles. Would like to see the old way of building stacks, similar to Civil War 2...I really miss that. I would also like to see for...

One of the unfortunate things about the new engine is the inability to build your own forces, unlike CW2. That was a lot of the fun for me.

But it's also fair that sometimes folks are so close to something that they can't see its flaws. Athena may be a wonderfully intricate engine, but it's still only as good as its results. And, respectfully, these results make no sense no matter how one rationalizes them in the context of the game sy...

In all honesty I don't think that any game developer has had a real success with this period of history and I had such high hopes that AGEOD of all companies would from the start.

I couldn't agree with that more. I have yet to see a game developer do it.

This is really a second patch fix; there are too many urgent basic gameplay issues to resolve first. The basic premise is this: players will play the game unhistorically, nearly all games will to some degree be unhistorical. So any scripted event that relies on history and the sequence of history ma...

Not really with this event. There's isn't a window per say. I believe the issue is more simple. Pressburg is leaving ULM in Austrian hands. The dissolution even is very clear that Austrian cannot have Ulm. Simple as that. Sure it does. It assumes that the players and AI will play out the game histo...

The Prussia/France relationship should start at zero then. Not a complete overhaul. Or, for not open diplomacy, add some scripted events which follow history which enact the diplomatic moves of the time that kept Prussia neutral.

Yes I read that. That's why I said "as well". The point is that not being able to jump into the 3rd coalition would be moot if Prussia could just degrade the relationship with france enough to enter into a "unilateral " war the same time the 3rd coalition event fires. The result would be the same. U...

You may need to tweak the France/Prussia relationship as well. In a PBEM, Prussia may not be able to work its way into the 3rd Coalition (relationship with Britain) but could they degrade their relationship with France enough in order to declare on France unilaterally just in time for the launch of ...
