Comparing two great games

AGEod's Field of glory: empires and emperiums: Greek wars. I Like both, both have their goods and bads, just two different feels. Anyone else here discover Emperiums: Greek wars yet?

Re: Any reason to create provinces?

My Athens game ended up with a Persian victory but said "Persia won the game, but you can continue to play if you wish" or just about something equal to that.

Both scenarios offer a great deal of difficulty, fun, and their own unique environment

Re: expansion

The turn box has a very very small hyphen inside it. It's not a game kill, i just build the building anyway without knowing how long it''ll take

Its the box withiin the box in the uppper left corner. THe tiny turns until completion box

Re: expansion

Actually grey fox, i had a closer look. Instead of turns to completion some of them have a hyphen through the box. Any reason why?

Re: expansion

I was not able to find an example of that building problem. When the number of buildings in a region equals its population, the construction icon is dark. Do you mean that? No not that. It's the number of turns left box, some you can clearly see, some are obscured black for the 90% part. Maybe it's...

Re: expansion

Do you notice some buildings finish times are clear as day but others are mostly blacked out? It seems to go province by province, guessing by my local experience it might effect a third of the map Im always sure to grab up as many empty provinces while i can, actual nations are hard nuts to crack a...

Re: expansion

Very impressive. I was wondering and hoping FOG Empires had more of a fan base for such a great game, so slitherine seems to be the place to hang out and talk all things empiric? I prefer carthage in 550 BC too because most of north africa is open for an easy conquest having no other nations there t...

expansion

It seems to me the best way to expand is by conquering neutral provinces. Its possible to over expand but not if you keep decent armies every so there in your empire, to flat out rebellion and dissidence. The worst way to expand is to get involved in a war you cant win, most nations in this game are...

Re: Any reason to create provinces?

Thank you, i created 3 provinces when i last played Tuesday night. I was thinking provinces meant you were giving up some control of the province and letting it have semi autonomy. I play for absolute control! :D

Any reason to create provinces?

Do you they change anything at all?

And does this game let you play beyond the set end date kind of like the civilization and total war series do?

Re: two bugs?

Maybe i didn't look at the map long enough before my game, my mistake. 50 turns into the game and Media is crushed lol

I meant the building icons. Some show up with the given amount of turns until completion, and some are blacked out

two bugs?

Im playing as carthage in the 550 BC scenario. Persia was a monster as it was in real life back then. I went back to the scenario 550 BC to do some map scrolling of how exactly the world stacked up before i started my game. The country of Media now was in control of much land and persia was a little...

It is still available but is not in my sig anymore as I believe nobody need it now (crossing fingers here, I hope no publisher will undust an old NCP 1.00 master copy before asking us if we patched the game and have a more recent version!) If I order it from your site (here) and I'm in America, I m...

Can't find the link now :bonk:
But... are you sure you need it?? only for the 1.00 game version, used only on the french boxed edition.
Any other boxed editions or the AGEOD direct download version don't need it
Cheers!

I think I'm allright. Thanks.

Or is there a way to start before 1808?

You already posted this question elsewhere and I conveniently answered it there. Double posts are, in general, frowned on. This thread is for bug reports concerning the new patch, not for mod questions. Also, if you accidentally post a question in the wrong forum. don't sweat it, and post the same ...

I would definately say it's worth it. Once you learn the ropes (or most of, I've only owned this game for two days :D ) definately alot of fun, definately worth it. It's kind of like the Civil War game that you wish would come out, or as you play someone elses' you begin to wonder if they designed i...

Is there any mod that lets you play an indefinate amount of time?

That the game in theory could go even into 1950, not just 1866? I enjoy a more slow based game, that's why.
