Oddity with the "Britain and France refuse to recognize the Confederacy" event.

Well the simple oddity is, there is no counterpart event. Britain and France will refuse to recognize the Confederacy no matter how high the foreign intervention is from what I can tell and there isn't a victory in the world that can alter that. This seems rather strange as most events regarding for...

Frankly, its difficult to get away with not razing structures as the CSA. Whilst there are obvious benefits to laying waste to territory so Union logistics are awful, much more subtlety but as if not more important one often needs to raze structures to "correct" the Retreat logic and get your troops...

This is beginning to get ridiculous, nay it got ridiculous long ago, but I have kept quiet. I did not ev...

Truth be told, against any decent opponent in a PBEM "winning" in the sense of making Union NM fall below threshold in a PBEM is all but impossible as the Confederacy. Your best hope is to try and drag out the war as long as possible and bank on either reaching the end of 1865 or securing foreign in...

To be fair to Grant, he was in every way a competent general. He lacked flair and occasionally made missteps but was skilled and lucky enough to make up for that with hard work and good working relationships with most of his subordinates. However, he only avoided being defeated in detail by Lee at N...

I don't get everything. With MTSG off and Traffic on, you have stacks in 2 different regions unable to help each other, so you rely only on what you have in a single region, no support. With Traffic, it is harder to move at the same time a lot of troops in a single region, so again, you increase th...

I should note as a follower/participant of the AAR's that of the 3 so far I think we have had the longest game go to mid 1916 I think. The last ended when Bulgaria was unlocked after the Germans had surrounded Paris. The second was ended when basically the entire AH and Russian forces, I mean ALL o...

Removing MTSG or how Nostra accidentally fixed the game.

This is a bit of a long story so bear with me. As some of you may know a group of AGEOD fans have been playing a particular type of PBEM on the Paradox Forums for the sake of a larger audience for AAR writing. We call this a Mass Game where nations are divided up between players so as to make the fa...

In the Confederate context the coastal guns are probably Brooke Rifles, not Dalghrens. Not long after the war broke out Tredegar Iron Works invented a new process for building large rifled guns (since they did not have the equipment to do the parrot method) and the guns were named Brooke rifles afte...

Suggestion on foriegn built CSA Ironclads: CSS Stonewall, CSS Scorpion, CSS Wivern.

Would it be possible to create a separate type of Ironclad for these ships, an "Ironclad Cruiser"? These vessels were oceangoing, as indicated by their transatlantic crossings, and were very different from the coastal Casemate Ironclads represented by the current CSA Ironclad types. Or even to simpl...

Just a couple of things noticed while preparing for the new POT Mass Game: -When Germany goes with the Rupprecht Plan it does not affect Italian alignment as per the description. -When Austria goes with the Prinz Plan it results in two Archduke Eugens (One as CiC and another waiting to be unlocked) ...

Don't know what's happening in your game, but this function works for me as advertised. I set one independent corps stack to B/R, and it beat off 4 separate attacks over 3 turns w/o retreating, despite having suffered a total of 66% casualties across all 4 attacks combined. Please make "Hold at all costs" actually mean "Hold at all costs"

This is a problem I have had in both CW2 and TEAW, I regularly will have armies on "Hold at all costs" retreat from battle in good order after a short battle despite the tooltip saying that only routing remains possible. It is incredibly annoying. If I have an army on B/R that is because I want it t...

We've done a mix, although no airplanes as of yet because we usually wait for real fighters (the one's post synchronization gear) before doing that. As I understand it the WE and the EE are in a similar boat. But yes we are very nearly out of conscripts in late November and will be completely out by...
