I purchased WON when it first came out and sadly, gave up after numerous crashes and the long AI times. But I think I'd like to give it another try since this is such an interesting part of history. You're correct about the British Cash. I played a few years as the Brits and accumulated an huge hoard of Cash. Your adjustment seems sound.

Notwithstanding all the bugs (and there have been way too many) ... I believe it would be more fun if you changed the way you play as the allies (Brits, Austrians, Prussians). I first started as the Prussians ... but in 1805 there is nothing you can really do except to stay away from Napoleon. Army ...

Found out why ... the Reform states the year needs to be 1808 ... but the script states 1810. So what is the date suppose to be????

I'm playing as the Brits with the latest beta patch and I appear to have met all the conditions of the Moore Army Reforms but it is still locked. is there something I can check to see if this is working properly??? Secondly, if I select the Build Torres Vedras Lines Reform ... all the British troops...

I'm several turns past having captured Wien...and nothing....

I've captured Vienna, current Morale is 155, Austrian is 61 and most of the French Army is in Austria. When should the Pressburg Event fire in F4? BTW the date is August 16-21 (I started in January 1805).

I've installed the latest patch (actually, uninstalled and reinstalled). The game still crashes during Turn Resolution ... but not as often. Getting a different error message now. See attached Log.

By turn 5 I can't even load the most recent saved turn without the game crashing. I've attached the log. The hst was too large to attach??? How come there isn't a scenario that lets you play as both the East and West allies?

If you send the entire German Navy (11,000+) they can have an effect ... a lot depends on where the British Navy is.

I've played the beginning several times ... and the opening moves of the western powers sometimes dictate what you do. The AI is surprisingly variant on how it plays. I go for Antwerp right from the start and try to capture it with the 2nd Army by September. I use the 1st army to head for the coast ...

I agree the old way was better. Easy to miss promotions this way.

But you still have to have select that general first correct? It would nice to have some summary/list of promotable generals.

Is there an easy to ascertain if you have any generals that can be promoted? I know you can look at the turn scripts (or whatever you call them) but if you miss it ... then it seems like you have to scroll through every general to find out if they can be promoted.

Don't set the 2nd Army to full assault...this way they won't get bogged down in Leige...

Some of your forces (not 2nd Army) should be set to the most aggressive offense (red assault posture) ... that should take care of Leige.

I'm sure this has been posted a million times ... but just before I hit done with turn I want to save. Then if I want to test something or see that I forgot to do something ... I can load where I left off versus having to move all the units again. I hit the save button but I can't tell how to retrie...

I've had good success taking Antwerp by October. Use the 2nd Army (rail guns) and another stack (pwr roughly 250). I've gone all out when the breach is 1...you suffer some losses by you can move on once secure. I should note...I immediately move the 2nd Army to Antwerp on the first turn. Don't forge...

Can minor countries, such as Bulgaria, have armies? I have several (2) 3 star generals but I don't see any way to elevate them to Army status.
