CW2

Anyone interested in a game of CW2? I'd say I'm an advanced intermediate player and will play either side. I prefer more historical settings and aim to play one turn per day. Any takers, please private message me.

Re: CW2

I'll play. Sounds like I'm much like you. Fairly experienced. Will play either side. I like all your game play options except I like to handle the navies too.

Can start this weekend. Sending you a PM now.

Re: Cavalry and Stack Question

Three thoughts on the foregoing discussion: First, the KS/IT stockades can be rapidly accessed and ultimately reduced with minimum attrition risk by a ranger unit or two from Adobe Wells. It's a resource win for the CSA and does help secure the flank. I generally don't attack auto-garrisons: IMO cas...

Re: Noob question (1st of many most likely)

The recruiting bonus should work for Banks, McClernand and Burnside. They need to be inside the city but it seems that you know that already. They also need to be there at the start of the turn, I believe. Perhaps that's the problem. Also, you'll probably want them in cities with more loyalty to the...

CW2 PBEM

Is anyone interested in starting off the new year with a full campaign length game of CW2? I'd say that I'm an intermediate level player and am usually good for one turn per day. Would prefer to play as the Union in this game. If interested please email me at cboyman2000@gmail.com.

BattleVonWar,

We played almost two years ago, when we were both pretty new. I'd be happy to play you again and see how much you have improved.

CW2 PBEM

Would anyone like to play a CW2 PBEM? I'll play either side and am generally good for one turn per day. I've played about 8 PBEM's and would consider myself to be a good player.

I'd be happy to play and also will play either side. I've played 4 or 5 PBEMs and consider myself an intermediate player. I'm also on the east coast.

Send me a PM if you'd like to play.

Gray Fox, I completely agree with you about both the CSA and USA naval strategies but your comments raise a question: Admirals with the Blockade Runner ability like Tattnall are said to be "adept at avoiding enemy naval forces, if need be. +35% to the Evasion value of the naval stack under his comma...

Limit on CSA Blockade Running?

Is there some limit on the amount of money and war supplies the CSA can receive from blockade running and therefore on the number of brigs it should send into each blockade box? I ask because I tried to load up on brigs in the Gulf Blockage box and the amount of money and war supplies I received app...

I think Hindman may be your problem. I found this post: Occupier When commanding a stack, this leader will proclaim Martial Law in any rebellious city, raising or lowering the city loyalty by 5/trn up to 60% loyalty, if the city loyalty is below 90%. Hated Occupier When commanding a stack, this lead...

A point of clarification, please. Gray Fox says that the icons and numbers at the top of the report indicate the number of infantry, cavalry and artillery involved. But don't the icons and numbers actually indicate the number of men (including the men in infantry, cavalry and artillery units), horse...

Where exactly are the Great Plains (for Sioux Uprising purposes)?

I've just encountered the Sioux Uprising which tells me as the Union player that I have to keep some troops in the Great Plains but doesn't exactly say where that is. Will keeping troops in Fort Ridgeley in Minnesota and/or Fort Abercrombie in North Dakota satisfy the requirement? What other territo...

Speaking of Washington, it is generally recognized that he was able to escape the British outside of Trenton and attack their rear at Princeton because the weather turned cold and froze the ground, which allowed him to move his artillery and withdraw his army. In that instance, the cold helped Washi...

Razing Cities - No Loyalty or Development Penalty or Other Effects?

Playing a PBEM with the latest version of CWII allowing the razing of Level 1 cities, I'm surprised that destroying the city apparently does not affect the loyalty or development of the region. My opponent razed Rolla, MO when he destroyed the depot there and the loyalty of the region is still 5% Un...

1.05 Issue with Location of Constructed Units

I just loaded the 1.05 patch, began a PBEM as the Union player, and tried to build the NY militia regiment and infantry brigade available at the start of the game in New York City and Buffalo respectively. They showed up instead in Syracuse and Plattsburgh. Is this randomness intentional or a glitch?

Is there some minimum size for a garrison to control an Objective Town? I ask because I have taken Norfolk as the Union player and have it garrisoned with a militia regiment inside the city but that hasn't controlled the town. I have 100% Military Control but 23% Loyalty.
