I had just noticed that ironclads can get past Island 10 without taking damage and thus an entire fleet with transports etc can get past it unhindered, making the fort a supply stopper and nothing else. Doesn't feel right. On the other hand Farragut slipped the forts in the delta and took New Orlea...

New Orleans was not garrisoned properly. They took no strong actions against the landings on the east coast. Nashville was evacuated and middle Tennessee all the way to Corinth MS. Island #10 was not just Island #10. It was New Madrid, Mo, Point Pleasant, Mo, The Tennessee side of the river and Isl...

1. +6 VP/trn for the CSA in the 1.03. 2. An effort has been made to make the Anaconda strategy the most sensible one for the Union in 1.03.. If the Union does not take out or block CSA big harbors, CSA will have ample money for the war effort. 3. In 1.03. 2:1 ratio is kept, but with increase in ava...

In reference to replacements, is there a thread (or wiki article) that explains in detail how the replacement pool works? I for one am curious how the mechanic works when I set the game settings to give me 10%. Do the resources for those replacements get subtracted at the start or the end of a turn?...

GraniteStater I see your point, but in reality there is not that much of a difference in how Vicksburg and Petersburg played out. Once cut off, the place will fall. The main difference was that, as you pointed out, Grant was able to completely invest Vicksburg quickly. In game terms, he took the reg...

It’s a game engine limitation. Depots are production facilities, therefore they produce whether cut off or not. It would be far too complex to try and fashion a rule that isolates production facilities, you’d have to come up with some draconian rule that states they have to trace a supp...

Unfortunately the AGEOD engine's implementation of stacks, command points, activation, et all makes it difficult to simulate realistic leader casualties since removing leaders causes stacks to fall apart. For example, I imagine Athena would have a difficult time fielding effective stacks if divisio...

Crash Report

I have had some re-occurring crashes as the AI attempts to process its moves and the main files reload.

I am running a Toshiba lab-top 4GB Ram, Windows 7, intel i3 m350 @ 2.27 GH

the campaign is April 1861, the logs, scripts, and save game is attached.

Thanks for any insights

Leader Death?

I just bought the game, and have been enjoying it quite a bit. I have a question about leaders. Can they be killed or wounded? (it seems like they can't be captured). It occured to me when I was playing the Shiloh that A.S. Johnston was around for the entire campaign. Of course IRL, he was killed ra...
