Thanks for your take on it loki and Pocus. I now have a handle on exactly how WoN will work PBEM wise. I have played (or tried to play at least) Matrix EIA. So I know full well the trials and tribulations of getting 7 reliable players to continue with the game at a reasonable pace. I have 3 trusted ...

Ok even with a host is there anything to stop a player 'looking' at opponents units simply by resolving the move on his own machine? So I am now asking is an opponents side protected by a password?

You could also set up a server for multi-player. All players submit there move to the server and the 'server' resolves the move. @Loki once you have been cheated it kind of brings the 'anti-cheat' thing to the forefront of one's mind. I am not obsessed with it. My method now is that I only play game...

But B does not see the results. So what point of running it again? The thing is B never see's the result of T1 until A has submitted T2 to him. The crux of the matter is that neither player is able to see the result of his move until his opponent has submitted his next move. Works fine as long as yo...

All that is done is player A submits T1 orders and sends file to B, player B submits T1 orders and resolves the move but does not see the results of T1, player B sends T1 results file to A, Player A replays the T1 turn and submits T2 orders and so on, as long as the files are password encrypted then...

What I don't understand is that there are a many wego games (WITP, CM etc) that have completely secure PBem systems. In fact WEGO is easier to make cheat proof than IGO/UGO.

I know how the IGO UGO system works. I did it with WITE. What I am saying is a similar setup for AGEOD WEGO system would be cool.

Why no Server to host?

Why doesn't AGEOD or Matrix set up a server so PBem can be hosted? Other Matrix titles have this option. It would be so cool to have this available. Each player logs his orders, the server resolves the turn. Players then download the updated hst file and submit new orders. I would gladly even pay a ...

Ok thanks for all that. I am trolling thru the old posts since I last played. That helps. Pity nothing has been done on the PBEm front re at least setting in stone the options the game starts under.

Returning player with some question's

Hi Haven't played this game since late 2013. Version 1.02 was my last attempt. There were some things that put me off back then and I figure with several patches since then I would try it again. I have some questions if someone would be so kind to answer. Ace? 1. Are the options/settings for PBEm no...

Will this game have multiplayer capability?

That is perhaps one player for every Nation? Or is it simply Pro French V Anti French?

I am an old EIA player. The best Napoleonic boardgame ever made.

Captured Capitol and nothing Happened!

My opponent moved his Capitol to New York (Washington was besieged) and I have now just captured New York (it was still the Capitol). I expected a big national morale hit on the USA, but it actually went up!!

I have attached a save file.

I have my own questions. Previously in the game I besieged Washington and Marquo moved his capitol to New York. I have now taken New York. But not Washington, but Washington is no longer the Capitol. But his loss of his capitol (New York) has not affected his morale, I was expecting a very large dro...

Is it implemented?

About 12000 surrendered who were besieged at Alexandria. They were not added to the total lost, but show up as POW's.

I am just talking about the F8 screen. Not the battle reports. I would really like Pocus to explain the tallies on the F8 screen. As I am yet to figure it out. Does Lost = KIA/MIA/WIA or some other combination. Do we then add POW's to arrive at a Grand Total for Lost troops? Sometimes I have tracked...
