I tried the 'load' button. All that comes up is the same options as if I had hit 'new' in the main menu. No previous games are shown. That's where I thought they should be from previous use of the game.

How to revisit a previous game?

I had a game in Dec 64. Started a new game and now want to go back to the old (dec 64) game. Can that be done? If so, how?

Two more questions

Thanks to all for help on previous post re playing a previous turn, I got it to work. The quality of this forum goes a long way to making this a great game! Two more questions 1. Will I cause a problem if I go to the 'saves' subdirectory and delete all previous campaigns? 2. On the unit symbol, belo...

Still confused: backing up one turn / redoing previous turn

Very grateful for previous response, but still having trouble. I followed (I think) the response from Pocus, but the game date (late feb 63) does not change. I'm trying to replay a previous turn. Not to confuse with 'replay'. From game I clicked menu Then Load game after choosing the campaign number...

How to load previous turn?

After each turn I click the 'save turn button' (top right). If I want to go back to a previously saved turn (say, late dec 62 to early dec 62) how do I accomplish this? I think I tried this. I clicked return to main menu then load game. What comes up is several pictures with scenario name below them...

Two Questions - Corps and supply

Does a corps out of an Army commander's influence range (shift key when army is selected) still benefit as a corp within this range? When I use the supply map overlay (playing as CSA) I get green regions and red ones. The tool tip says this is where supply can 'pass'. Does this mean units in these r...

Stuck in 'military mode" a litte help please

My game just went to Jan '63 and when I load the game I get a message that I am in 'military mode'. I have a grand scale map but cannot see any forces. Don't know how I got there or how to get back to standard map.

Use of Brigs?

I saw a previous post that advised putting Brigs in the blockade box as blockade runners. That seems to net a small amount of money and WS. I put them in the shipping box and get much bigger numbers. Comments from other will be appreciated. While I'm here---------- The manual speaks of 'combining un...

No complaints, just a few things I miss from version 1!

The screen after a battle showing battle details does not seem to show all the generals involved in the battle, It is not clear if any other unit 'marched to the sound of the guns'. I've tried the slider but the display doesn't change! I liked the 'roster' in ver 1. I could compare leader stats by s...

Richard Taylor of CSA has an ability icon that says he trains 'conscripts'. How do I know if I have any? How do they get on the map?

While I'm here --

Some units have a gold star in the lower left had corner of there unit picture. What does this mean?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Question about the unit panel

What is the significance of the small v in the upper left hand corner of the unit picture. Mostly brown but an occasional white v. I think they were related to elements in the original game, but do not seem to be element related here.

I've had Wash surrounded for six weeks and see no reduced supply (green Bar on right). How long does it take to starve them out?
Secondly what do the small green dots under the city tag mean?

Great game and I am impressed with the class and civility demonstrated in the forum. !. Current game in late '62. Help with forces screen, please!

I am struggling with the new forces screen. Is this the replacement for the 'roster' in ACW? If so, how do I find a specific general or unit. The buttons at the top seem to be counter intuitive. It seems that one must hide everything he doesn't want to see. What am I missing?

Replaying Previous Turns?

The manual seems to say that we can replay previous turns in a current game. I cannot see how to do this. Also the manual speaks of hitting `esc` to go to 'saving option screen'. I don't see this either. Thanks in advance for your time and help.
