V1.04 and Renaming Stacks

Hi

Sorry to be pushy but does anyone have any idea when the bug introduced in 1.04 which prevents stacks from being renamed will be fixed? Whilst obviously not a game breaker it really helps me to keep my forces organised

It feels like something changed with the advent of 1.04 regarding the income from the shipping box. I had been monitoring various stats on my game and as soon as I applied the patch my income from the shipping box almost halved which may well be WAD but I didn't see anything in the change log which ...

If I had to guess based on you seeing it before it probably existed in an earlier game version and was possibly excluded for game balance reasons? The devs will be the only ones who know for sure though

Elite Brigades

I was looking through the event files in an effort to try and compile a list of the elite brigades that you get over the course of the game. I noticed this one has the number of occurrences set to zero in the start event so that it never fires. Does anyone know if this was by intention or is it a bu...

Thanks Captain_Orso that's good to know. The thing that made me wonder is the tooltip information over the "form division" button advises you that the cost of a division is never refunded (or words to that effect) when you try to disband a division. I'm guessing this must be a carry over from the pr...

Division Cost

I know that from the previous iteration of the game it used to cost Money / War Supplies / Conscripts to create a division. Is this still the case in this one?

Thanks for the info Gray Fox!

One other question I've been working under the assumption that to get the maximum blue water blockade value you have to split your blockade fleets evenly between the 2 blockade boxes is that correct?

A few blockade questions from the Union perspective

Firstly is the percentage on the blockade box the total blockade % for the blue and brown water blockade. If it is not where do I find this figure? I think I read somewhere on the ACW forum that the posture of your fleet is not applied in the blockade box. Therefore if you are trying to hunt down ra...

Destroying Rails and Number of Armies

I'm just picking this game up again and I am playing the Union in the full campaign. My first questions concern army formation: Can every 3*** general create an Army or is there a limit to the number of Armies that can be created? If there is a limit does this change over the length of the war? Are ...

Thanks for the replies The sharpshooter gives its bonus to the stack it is in. I think this is the bit I am confused about. So if I put a sharpshooter in say Mcdowells army stack (pre division) after it unlocks the whole stack will get the initiative bonus? To me it reads like the sharpshooter needs...

I have just purchased this game and I am playing my first game as the USA. Ahh the joys of a colonial war remember it well. I think the hardest thing is getting the force composition right. Too large a force and the natives seem able to disengage at will. Too small you probably win the battle but don't destroy any elements and so next turn hey presto you are facing an unda...

Goto concur with Dewirix. Looks like the tide of the war is firmly moving in your direction. It may take some time to wrap up but it is definately yours for the taking. You have critically smashed the Austrian's National Morale I can't see anyway back for them. Well done!

Italy's reunification sort of falls into 3 bits. The first is the build up to the 1859 War with Austria and the Treaty of Plombiere. I think all the events fire OK for this but the final piece is dependant on the Austrian AI declaring war. In my game and Loki's this didn't happen. My best guess is t...
