Will there be anything to model the struggle in NA, and will this by extension limit a nation's ability to meet subsidy comittments. For example, will player commanding the Austrians/French be able to influence events in North America that would require Britain to cut back on subsidies to Prussia?

We need to judge from what they did historically... or actually, in some cases, from what they didn't. ;) I will pay for this game the minute it goes on order, regardless of how this issue is handled. Clash of Monarchs is a richly detailed board game by GMT, but it suffers from being overly complex. I think FtG will really deliver what Clash of Monarchs was meant to be.
