make division HQ buildable by states

I really like the whole command and control aspect of the game, the only problem however is that when i build a division HQ they always arrive in Montgomery (alabama) it takes an enormous amount of time to rail/riverine these to all the outskirts of the confederacy. I would like to be able to build ...

Ship reinforcement screens issue

After the gosport event happens to the south and ironclads become available as builds my screen fills up so much that some ship icons obstruct part of the lower screen making it very difficult to see how much a ship actually costs Is this due to my screen resolution not being set high enough or is i...

Engineers with militia man special ?

I was wondering about engineers (union, haven't checked confederate ones) having the militia man level 1 special ability. isn't this a rather strange ability for engineers to have ? Could this be a bug or am i just missing something

So i think there is a small bug still in the game after the patch preventing the tool tip from working if you play t...

Event tooltip help needed

I installed the qiuckfix patch that supposedly introduces a tooltip function to a lot of the ingame events. I can not seem to get it to work however, no matter how long i keep the cursor over the event nothing happens, i tried clicking it, double clicking it. still no tooltip pops up. I am probably ...

Are there any limits as to where the union could land troops? i could imagine that not every spot along the coast has suitable landing sites ?

When you have both a garrisoned fort in a city and entrenched units in the region but outside of the city will the forts artillery be able to support those entrenched units when they are attacked?

What is that union brigade west of New Orleans building ? (The one that has the hammer symbol)

Btw Spharv2 you seem to have the confederacy on it's knees considering all the blue dots on the map, no small feat being only half way into 1863.

Is there a detailed list of the terrain effects anywhere on the forums? i would like to find out more about the frontage limits, combat modifiers etc, but can only find partial info.

Thanks

According to the manual the game allows for the building of new railroad. Will there be any limits as to where you can build these new railroads? or is the amount of raw materials you have the only limit?

question for the beta testers

Since you guys have probably got a good insight in the game by now, i was wondering ,since each game turn is 15 days, are you able to anticipate and react to enemy movements in time?. Since for instance washington and richmond are so close to each other, will a move on the capitol allow me to react ...

I was just reading the rules about blocking enemy movement, it states that forts greatly enhance patrol values thereby often preventing enemy movement. Now since you can't build forts outside cities, if you want to defend a strategic position on the map that has no city (say a strategic river ford) ...

Will naval units be sufficiently expensive for the north to prevent him from too quickly building loads of ships (6 per port) and blockade all your ports right from the start? Also will ports have a maximum building capacity as to how many ships can be laid down and build at the same time? :dada:

personally, i'm against too much detail. theres already a level of control over the stance of your units, which i believe will effect the conduct of a siege. to provide additional options, well that strays from the grand theme of the game.... why then can't the player dictate the strategy for each ...

Will an enemy fort + emplaced guns result in a +2 +2 + +4 bonus?

Also,

6 naval units, does this mean 6 single ships? or are we talking about 6 blockading squadrons? 6 ships being able to blockade an entire harbour does feel a bit odd.

blockading ports

What factors decide how many ships are required to blockade a port? historically some ports were much better defended than others, so will defending forts, entrenched artillery positions and coastal artillery have any impact on the process of blockading?

Don't the besiegers suffer any casualties during a siege? reading through the manual it seems as if only the besieged can ever suffer hits. Surely the defending artillery can inflict losses during a siege?
