Time to Increase My Difficulty Level?

So, this evening I've completed a Major Victory in my historical 106 turn campaign as the Central Powers, by getting my NM to 152 (with WE on just 14 and EE on 62), during the turn for early September 1916. I've been playing on Sergeant difficulty in most of my Ageod games, but very rarely get the f...

Re: Star Value Within Ongoing Combat Display

Husaria, thanks for your input - I thought about what you mentioned, and I'm now fairly certain that the star value represents the entrenchment level of a force that's being attacked during the combat resolution phase. As such it would give an indication of the defenders ability to withstand an atta...

Re: Star Value Within Ongoing Combat Display

No feedback with regard to the numbers that pop up in the white stars during combat resolution? The battles are great as they are (especially the horrendously long ones, in which I hold my head in my hands whilst imagining the carnage unfolding, and watching the troop numbers fall), but I'd love to ...

Re: "Shattered Units"

Yes, I've been doing this in my current campaign too. I'm playing with Easy Supply mode turned off. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but when I spot the artillery remains of a destroyed division, I send them back to a depot where they receive infantry replacements from my reserve pool. I've no...

Star Value Within Ongoing Combat Display

I'm currently playing through the historical 106 turn campaign as the Central Powers and am nearing the winter of 1915, so have watched many battle displays. (And I've had to do it all twice as an unplanned reinstallation of Windows 10 kindly removed my save file - yes I could have avoided that I kn...

Re: How does one "unsplit"?

The way I do it is to CTRL click the units I want to combine, and then hit the combine button which appears as a big + on the menu tab within the view. You can't always combine as many units as you might want though, so if you add them one at a time until the + button becomes unavailable, then you'l...

I have BoR already, but would love to transfer it across to Steam whenever possible (I'm one of those people that likes to keep all my games in one place). I'd certainly pick up PAR and HAN (which I don't yet have) as well, were they to be released.

Great to hear what the next game will be - I shall look forward to it with great anticipation :) I'm currently playing a little RoP (my favourite Ageod game to date), and I always think how cool it would be to have similar systems (I love the army corps model, and the range of units available) appli...

Yes, I was introduced to Ageod via Steam also, and would prefer to purchase my games that way if possible. As Civil War 2 was recently made available, I'd expect To End All Wars would do the same.

I chose Price of Glory as I think it has more of the sound of a game title.

I've not yet played RUS, but would certainly recommend RoP. Army organisation is more complex than in AJE, but there is a great tutorial system that takes you through the first few moves of the short introductory scenario. It doesn't teach you everything, but gives you plenty of information to get y...

Just time for a quick test before work, and the new script worked - Wierzbolow has switched loyalty, and my Russians are free to move into the area :D I didn't add the other regions, but might do so later. Well, this didn't work for me, probably because I'm simply beyond the event trigger date of 28 June 1757. I'm now wondering about setting up a simple region allegiance shift event for Wierzbolow, for 1st Feb 1758, (to RUS), as this should fire during my next game turn. This would be added to my 1758...

Hi Loki, Thanks for the response. I updated the Austrian Transfers event as you suggested, but in two attempts to introduce the new event it has failed. He found the fix somewhere on the web. The 1757 Memel Landing event in the multiplayer version should have been mirrored in the single player campaign version. Here is what we did: 1) Go to the Events folder for the regular single player campaign (the one used for PBEM for 2 players) 2) Make a copy...

Yes, I hope too they can get around eventually to patching ROP gold. My brother and I are playing it now, and managed to use a work-around to get around the frozen Russians in Wierbolow issue, but there are also other issues mentioned in various threads. Once ACW2 is out, I hope some attention can ...

Yes, I've come across this problem now too, in the Austria campaign I started over the weekend - lots of essential (and activated) Russian troops have become available, but are unable to leave their initial depot start location. Your reasoning makes a lot of sense. (of course all the support calls come in the weekend). Yep, and I agree with Erik - the shifting panes m...

I've had a look at the new site and bookmarked it for future use. I don't know if I'm an especially slow reader, but I preferred the old style too - all those scrolling panes seem to be set to move on to the next game just before you can finish reading what it says on any of them  hehe.

Spartacus Scenario - thoughts on level of difficulty

Well, I've just played through my first attempt at the Spartacus scenario, as the Romans, which gained me a minor victory, in which I held all my strategic objectives, and was in the process of wearing down and destroying the separated armies of Spartacus and Crixos in Southern Italy, when the game ...
