If you hover over the box on the top right of the Balance screen (B), it shows some recommended builds and provinces. Not sure, but I think that's what you mean.

That would be nice, a suggestion is to make the default for the larger stacks the XXXX size (with 3* commanders), and reserve the XXXXX symbol for the CinC of the Theater, that would make it easier to identify that leader at a glance.

Thanks, that helps make it seem more within reach. Not sure I want to take the time to count all those elements to see what is IN France or UK, but at least it isn't all of them!

Largest Army mission

I am just starting out on this game (a few 'trial runs' of a few months in so far), and have a question on the missions that I receive in the first couple of turns (playing as Prussia). The first mission is to have the Largest Army in Western Europe. I searched and found several threads that talk ab...

You remind me of my own favorite dos game, Frank Hunter's American Civil War. Delightful game at the strategic level, still available in a free download. Windows 7 and 8 have allowed some old gems like Hunter's wonderful game to see new life. Boomer, I totally understand your analogy to a new car, ...

Good question, it is confusing to me also. Is there a file somewhere with either a .jpg of the map, or a diagram of how all the boxes line up?

Not sure how far the map development is (if release is in SEP I imagine it is close), but interesting points. I really like the pic of Cairo, fascinating to see the different colors of the Ohio and Mississippi and how they retain as the rivers merge. Must be different sediments, runoff etc into the ...

Interesting, so release is scheduled for Sep 2013. One thing I noticed is the ability to drag/drop your newly built units into available regions, instead of the random ones now (like brigades in Buffalo or gunboats in Philly instead of Pittsburg). That alone is a nice improvement!

Questions on Brownwater Blockades

I am just starting to play (I know, it's an older game, but saw some info about AACW2 and thought I would try this one out in the meantime). I am confused about 'brownwater' blockade regions. I understand how to check the port/harbor part of the town icon, and it tells me what 'sea zone' I need to p...
