Yeah, I ended up running for Munchen as quickly as possible, but due to some bad activation rolls, not much made it there intact. One of my commanders held the mountain pass to italy against the grand armee for about 4 weeks, besting Bonie on the field several times, and maintaing his force. In the ...

Oh, got it. I think that's exactly what happened. I missed the message in the log.

Why Won't Mack Unlock

Hello, I'm playing the 1805 Austerlitz scenario as Coalition. Mack begins the game locked, and the note says he will unlock in 1 turn. To me, that means, he will be ready to move on turn 2, but that's not the case. In fact, the sequence of events was: Turn 1: Locked Turn 2: Attacked, but did not unl...

I can only second this... playing BOA a few weeks ago, I found 3 save game issues with in a short period of time -- Pocus fixed them all, and I had a patch less than a week after reporting them.

Here's how it might work: 1) Some leaders would be flagged as 'locked' and would never be shuffled. E.g. Winnfield Scott would always be the general in charge of DC defense. 2) Randomizing stats isn't pretty, it might lead to some really odd results, so I'm just suggesting shuffling names. I would a...

That might help, but you'd still have a good idea as to the value of promoting (or not) individuals. It would be fun to have to find that out the hardway.

Randomize Option?

It might be interesting to have an option to randomize which generals get which stats / stat progressions. In other words, Picket might have Lee's stat progression, and Lee might have Stuarts, while Stuart has Longstreets. This would add some interesting replayability as one discovers which generals...

Would it be possible to automate the agregation of regiments, so that regiments under 25% actually ARE combined? IIRC, there were many of these 'mini-brigades' later in the war, commanded by a lt. colonel or colonel and functioning more as a single maneuver elelment, despite having several understre...

I might consider giving him the "HQ_COMMAND" trait that provides a small bonus to all divisions under his command. His orders were notoriously clear and well organized.

Yeah, no kidding! I think that this strategic rating could be lower (4?) because of this alone.

1.10e problem? I am besieging quebec, and have killed all defenders. It shows the battle needle every day of the turn, but no results. It won't let me capture the city. I also received the message that ‘One of our comanders, John Pridaux was killed at Quebec.’ I’m playing the British and that is a F...
