Some thanks from myself as well, it is certainly well worth a try, terribly annoying to have chunks of your navy sitting in drydock when you have plans for them.

As far as I can recall you cannot undo it, nor can I recall where it was ever mentioned it could be done. If it can, then probably someone will explain it (which would be an interesting mechanism).

Cannot say how long I have been playing board games (since my 30's?), and AGEOD games, oh since at least AACW, version 1.7 (so been awhile), 62 here.

Re: I don't understand the 'Breaking Blockade' decision ...

Looking at the decision, it appears to me to function more as a "Smuggle Goods" RGD, exchanging money and EP for war supply and victory points. Have not gone to far in with the Royalists but early on they do need war supply. Why it is called "Break Blockade" I cannot say, and may...

The French Foreign Legion appears in the game, cannot say I have seen any of the others, though I may have missed them.

During his PON AAR Loki spoke of possibly doing a Russian campaign of the game. Could this be it? Seeing how entertaining "Manufacturing Italy" was this should be worth the read reguardless.

The description in the unit panel is as I recall "Mountain Infantry Brigade, Light" so I presume it is light infantry, hopefully someone who is more sure of this will come along with additional information.

Re: Do you play with or without Battle Planer ?

I use the Battle Planner, I feel it adds a bit of flavor and realism to the game, as it gives me a chance to influence the battles during the course of the game. There are often times where the choice seems to go well (hurrah) or sometimes I take it on the chin (no one to blame except me), so it add...

Congratulations Comrade Ripster on you excellent and entertaining AAR, I have enjoyed both this and your TYW AAR very much. Such AARs I believe have the benefit of bringing these games to the attention of others, which I think help with the sales of such games. (Although I am not sure that helping c...

You only get one GHQ per major power except Germany which gets two, one for the western front and one for the eastern front. The limit of armies assigned to a GHQ may be limited to the strategic rating of the GHQ commander (but I am not sure on that). As far as I know to make a 3 star commander an a...

An excellent game, just playing the Bohemian Revolt I find myself playing turn after turn, so like TEAW I find the game quite addicting. I believe this was changed even back in AACW, due to the fact that McClellan was given command for the victories in West Virginia but also for the defeat of the Army of Northern Virginia in the First Battle of Bull Run. I think this was changed as it was possible that McDowall could have won the bat...

just my opinion sir, but I do believe if you stacked your 3 star generals with Enver Pasha (2-0-0) their stats go down, similarly George B McClellan has a similar effect (among others).
