I played CW 1 for a bit and really enjoyed the game. The one thing that annoyed me and ultimately made me stop playing was the tedious search for newly recruited units. Every turn, it seemed, I had to cycle through each city to see where new recruits were located. Has this changed in CW 2?
If I wanted to change the detection rating of Roman cavalry to 4 would this unbalance the game (single player game)? If not where would I find the file to edit? I assume it would just be one tweak for cavalry if Caesars forces aren't different than Pompey's. If I choose not to edit the value any sug...
I am playing the Pompey vs. Caesar scenario using the latest path. I am having to commit two stacks with multiple legions from Gaul to help at the border with Spain. Yet a Pompeian stack of 3 legions was able to get into North East Gaul from Spain with out being detected/intercepted. I think that th...
So to clarify if I merge a general, other than the leading general, with a unit that unit will receive the benefits and or penalties of any traits the leader has. If I don't, then the stack will only benefit from the Leaders trait(s). That right?
I notice that a stack, for example, with 4 legions, 2 aux, cav and 4 supply wagons has no command penalties when led by a 3 star general. What benefit is there for me to pick a general and select units to combine with him? In fact I can only ever combine one general and 1 legion which is pretty meag...
So a legion plus cav, skirmisher and an auxiliary or two would be a good effective stack? What about multiple legions under one general or does the command points limit this option?
I am used to playing ACW and organizing my divisions using different types of units. I am curious as to what is a good make up for a "division" ( I realize that this is the wrong term) in AJE/BOR.
From what I understand the red number on top the replacement chit is how many of those units have been lost. Do I need to purchase the same number of replacements as the red number? E.g., if the red number says 123!!! Do I need to purchase 123 replacements?
I placed merchants in territory that wasn't mine, as per the requirements of that decision. I get 5 denarii a turn I think. If I invade and control the region where I previously placed my merchants will I lose the benefit? If so, will this be the case with any decision that requires that I don’t “ow...
I have some questions regarding foraged regions, controlling a region and dealing with raiders. 1.Is there anyway to “unforage” a region? Who is doing the foraging? 2.How long does my unit have to be in an enemy controlled region before the flag changes to mine? Does it matter which or how many of m...
I have a division of 18 elements stationed in a city, during winter, with a pretty high stack of supply icons but the division is not being supplied! Am I missing something? The path to the supply source is all under my control so I don’t think the city is isolated.
I am really liking this game but my only real complaint is the searching for new recruits in cities when my turn starts. Is there a quick and easy way to use the Roster to look for which cities my new recruits are located? or a way to toggle the unit sprites so that they are all visible on the map? ...
When recruiting I have the option of buying a brigade with two or more elements. E.g, I can buy one brigade with two infantry and one cav element. Is there any difference If bought two Inf regiments with one element each and 1 cav regiment. There are the same number of elements as the brigade but di...
do supply sources i.e., cities, depot etc have a specific number of regions that it can supply before it diminishes the further away it gets from the source. For example if a city is a supply source how many regions away from that city does it's supply extend? Hope this makes sense!
I am having trouble creating division and corps. I am playing the full campaign as the Union and I am still in 1861. I have a one star general and added a brigade but the button to make it a division is grayed out so I can't enable division command. One of the tool tips says that possible reason for...
