I can also suggest some books from Adrian Goldsworthy like the "Roman Legions" and the "Complete Roman Army" - very interesting indeed...with images and good pictures and some maps...

The captives from the enemy appears as numbers under "Gefangene Gegner..."left side divided in separate columns from each enemy. On the right side are your own losses pictured...Hope this is helpful to you.

As a white commander you should use cossack cavalry units hunting the pesky partisans, as a red commander station militia in cities and patrol your railways with armored light trains and red cavalry hunting down partisans this should help...success is not of an easy kind...

Is it possible to build cities ingame like the roman colonies with veterans using a supplywagon and a veteran legion unit...this should be possible only for the romans either per event script or by doing as player...just my sixpence
