Hobbes, I have done the same thing, and thought of the same solution. Aggrivating as hell to resolve the turn and find that your corps have moved to follow the HQ when you didn't want them to. Just gotta remember to turn the group move icon off.

Actually, I think James Burns was the North. He said he was dug in and defending. The north was the side dug in and defending. I interpreted his complaint that the AI moved into that situation and didn't withdraw soon enough. However, being out numbered to that degree, I am not surprised that they w...

Your opponent must NOT end turn. He just plots his move, and sends you the .ord file. You should then save (or unzip) the file into the main directory that has the same name of the game you are playing......i.e. jimandbobcampaign. There will be other directories in that main directory, but they are ...

Well, Grant was outnumbered in units 3.5 to one, nearly. But not in GCV. But, this must be why he retreated. He felt he was outnumbered. But, I still wonder also about some of the results. Especially when one side whens lopsidedly and the victor retreats. In my battle above, Forney was dug in deep.....

If you are the USA and the host then you send your opponent the CSA .trn file. I do not know why you are getting a .txt added to the end of the file when unzipping. Maybe you can just right click on the file and rename it by simply deleting the .txt so it ends in .ord. Why would you want to create a...

On the contrary in my PBEM game, I am the CSA. I had a Corps commanded by Forney in Carthage. I was entrenched like level 7 there. Polk's Corps was in Nashville along with Army Commander Albert Sidney. Now Grant could not do anything in Nashville, but moved to Carthage. There, Grant was reinforced b...

I dunno guys. I printed it myself in color on both sides of the paper. Super easy to do. Used a little bit harder cardstock for my front cover. Took the whole works to Staples and they charged me less than three dollars to spiral bind it and put clear plastic covers on front and back. Considering it...

Sounds like the leaders can now be removed without removing their attached units. Personally, I don't mind having a small, very small chance of a random event removing leaders.
