Yeah I can wait, too. Bought this game to support AGEOD, was well aware that a game of this complexity will need some patches :D Keep playing CW and TeaW until then.

Me too. After I had to fight two stacks with ~6000 CP in ONE province (where does france get the manpower from!?!) I decided to wait for the patch.

What troops do you build?

Good afternoon, hopefully such a thread does not yet exists. I'm curious what your build up during the war is? I'm not well informed if the nations build new divisions and if yes how many. I do not think too much about building the right army ATM, usually I build a little bit of everything ;) Would ...

Note, EE and WE ai also need some improvements. The EE seems to try deep penetrations without adequate reconnaissance (what I estimate as a 600 power stack moved through Silesia and well into the mountains against me only to be cut off (it was mutual, forcing me to pull back my line in Silesia) and...

I am extremely excited by your result, Lemelem. Not only because it is a spectacular success, but also because as I see it, the engine behaved quite good resulting in what could have been a real alternate reality result if things went the Central Powers' way back then. Now continue with Revolution ...

The manual speaks about new theatres (= "one-front-only" war, especially interesting for CP playing) and new starting years. That is good, but I really think that more smaller scenarios would be good as a learning tool and for some quicker games. Not every WW1 fan has the time to play the campaigns...

Or just single theatres. It would be nice to have something like western/eastern front only.

Even without further content the replayability seems to be rather high. Three playable sides, alone for CP you got 2x4 different plans. As we already know, each game against AI (or PBEM) is different. For me in the end it all comes down on how good the AI is and how well the whole system plays out.

My first game with the Central Powers will be quiet historical. I think that Schliefen-Plan is nonsence, but I want a more or less historical game to learn it an get the right immersion. Second game I will probably use the Moltke-Plan (depending on my experiences in game 1): Defeat Russia early on a...

Nice video. I always thought that Hindenburg is totaly overrated ;) As already stated, I like the look of the map and the improvements of the UI. Probably your best so far. I think it has been mentioned that this one is considerably faster compared to PON. It should be more like ACW2 or RoP. PoN is extreme as there is much more to compute. However, haven't played it yet ;)

ACW 2 is marching to the sound of the guns!

I wonder that there is not thread here regarding this topic. However, ACW 2 has been announced: http://www.ageod-forum.com/showthread.php?27293-AGEOD-Matrix-and-Slitherine-merged!-A-message-to-the-players Great news I think. ACW is still a great game that I like to play, but a remake with all the ne...
