Since they're costly to build in time and resources, I recommend building them where the Whites are likely to attack sometime in early 1919. Kazan or one of the other major cities in the vicinity, to the north of the Ukraine, and Leningrad or Novgorod.

I have over 50GB free space on the relevant HD. And I've tried running as Admin. Same thing happens as when I try it the regular way.

Installation not starting

My installer won't start. It appears for a few seconds in the Windows Task manager's "processes"-tab.
Running Win 7, 64-bit
Also, unless I deactivate Norton, Norton removes the installer upon download completion.

You really don't get what the strategy should be until you've played it through as either side at least once. There are so many events, you need to know what each of them does and when they happen.

Those are the primary sources for the thesis' main question. For historians' views, see the 'bibliography' section.

Keep a cavalry brigade (2+ regiments of cavalry) in your rear to deal with smaller rebel/partisan stacks. For the larger stacks, you can just detach a regular division or two. It was suggested some time ago that you should have units of a single armoured train and a cavalry regiment patrolling the r...

I think you guys are about to get slapped, seeing what the moderator seems to be saying.

Now, you fellows in GOLD/whatever dev team, could there please be a militia (battallion) unit called "Sparta"? It's perhaps not historical, but it would fit.

I sometimes see this for any faction I play. I think it might just be too few in number, for it to be visible on the display without opening individual regiments.
sometimes, though, if I don't have enough Commissars, entire regiments might desert.

Steam launched EAW asks for Serial Key

Having bought the game on Steam, and already played it quite a bit the last couple of days, it now suddenly asks me for a "Serial Key", like my non-Steam AGEOD games. This makes me a very sad panda, since there is no key listed in the Steam browser, and nothing in the purchase-confirmation email I g...

Ammunition

As far as I understand it, only medium and heavy artillery requires ammunition. Light artillery and infantry/cavalry require no ammunition to function.
Is this correct?
(I just noticed the 0 ammunition requirement on some arty-less stacks and wondered if I had a display bug or something.)
