I was not talking of actual wars or the opening stages of the war. Rather the long history of Russian rule over subjugated nations and its' MO. Divide et impera is not a new tactics after all. BTW, this practice of antagonising subjugated nations against each other often led to humorous effects. For...

but I could be wrong. Indeed you are. Tried all stances, nothing changed. Still 100% communist even though no commie units anywhere near the province and even with defensive stance the ownership should change a little, let it be 2% a turn, but still. Meanwhile, it doesn't change at all, no matter w...

Nicolas' Okhrana police was fond of the Protocol of Sion book. They even may have crafted it. Pogroms were not punished, if they were not provoked. Jews were the scapegoat for the poverty of Russia. Well, it was a long Russian tradition of applying the divide et impera to subjugated lands. In Russi...

Another bug spotted: the province of Kamenskaya is untakeable. For the last three turns my army has been stationed there, with two divisions of infantry, including two elite infantry (Police 3) and a couple conscript infantry (Police 4). Yet, the control of the province is still 100% Bolshevik. Any ...

A couple more: - Vilnius was called Vilna back then. Both in English, French and Russian. - Ivano-Frankivsk was Stanisławów (or Stanislawow, if you prefer it without diacritics). Both before and after WWI. It was not until 1962 that the town was renamed after Ivan Franko (hence the modern name)...

I just stumbled upon two galleries of pics of Polish-Soviet War re-enactors. Many groups were recently hired by the makers of "Battle of Warsaw 1920", a Polish blockbuster (currently in cinemas here in Poland) and... well, it was a splendid marriage: re-enactors' passion and knowledge coupled with f...

I created a similar playlist for those who play the Poles in the Polish-Soviet War. The first song is one of the earliest known recordings of the Polish national anthem (recorded ca. 1905; the oldest is from 1901 , but the quality is understandably low), the rest are actual songs popular among Polis...

Okay, my 2 eurocents:
  • rail between Bila Tserkva and Cherkassy. Map shows it passes through Korsun, but rail-mobile units go through Kaniv, one prov to the north, eventhough Kaniv only has a track and not a railroad.
  • Vorska river is actually named Vorskla

In my post above I pointed out that IMO the leader traits and ranks for Polish generals are pretty much random, with little regard for historical accuracy. Here's my list. ⋅ Schubert (currently Patriot) - well... he was a skilled division commander in 1920, he managed to lead a green 7th I...

And I say they wouldn't. You are too hung up on the anti semitism thing. Nazis are racist socialists and would have more in common with Stalinist Communism; International Socialism meets National Socialism as it were The Whites politically are either autocrat monarchists or military orienatated cap...

⋅ +1 to that. There are White tanks dressed in Polish colours in Lvov since probably the latest patch. First of all, the tanks there shouldn't be white. They shouldn't be there at all- or they should be Polish (Polish 1st Tank Regiment arrived from France in July 1919, though it operated ...
