Re: Civil War III - To be or not to be?

I will provide any support, but the Slitherine folks don't pay much attention
to this page really. If you are on their forum start a thread there.

Re: Helping the AI by hiding its hand

I normally prefer NATO symbols in any wargame I'm playing, but these
AGEOD games are a different breed and it would just feel wrong. Sure,
if I was playing on a hex based map I'd like that, but with regions instead
it just seems better to have portraits. Still, it's an interesting idea.

Re: Landing seperate corps

Also, I don't recall when an entire corps was ever sent to conduct an amphibious assault. It happened. First one I wikipedia'd was the first battle of Fort Fisher - a corp of the Army of the James versus a division of the Army of Northern Virginia. . But was that an actual amphibious assault? I dir...

Re: Landing seperate corps

Iv tried doing that before. The Corps "structure" is gone as soon as you board a ship. Splitting up ships wouldn't work. I believe it was designed that way since a corps can't stay intact on multiple ships and needs time to re-assemble after they land. Also, I don't recall when an entire ...

15 elements, and you can get that max with all artillery. For the best division
it's optimal not to have all of one thing, except an artillery division IN a corps.

Re: Civil War 3 suggestion that I like so much I'm posting it again ;)

Most players want a historical feel to the game, and politics played an enormous role during the war. There were just too many incompetent generals active in leadership to simply avoid that fact by appointing those we know are going to perform better. Without consequences to those choices I wouldn't...

Re: Civil War 3 suggestion that I like so much I'm posting it again ;)

While I still believe that leapfrogging a far more junior general over the heads of those more senior commanders should have repercussions (I'm not currently sure what those repercussions should be), I don't believe that it should be any great obstacle either. Just think of Lincoln choosing Meade ;...

Re: Native Indians regional devisions

It's the Sioux Uprising of 1862 event. They are no longer neutral. They will turn back to neutral sometime in 1863. It's a bug since it was only something that happened in the Minnesota River valley. You can use your Subvert Indians regional decision card to try to turn them into union assets or att...

Re: Building a flatboat in Southeastern California

Southeastern California has no coast, so no flatboats. There should already be a fort there if
its not destroyed (as the South I always send someone to destroy it). You can build a depot
there that will help keep you supplied further South (or North, if you are playing the South).

Yea, I don't think there's any fix for that, other than to save the game, load the
CSA side and make purchases for it, then save as the Union and run the turn.

Will there be a CW3 though? And if so, when? Probably not for a few more years. It will have to appear economically viable for AGEOD. Does it not currently appear to be so? Not with all the other projects they have going. Keep in mind that these types of games are a niche market. They aren't making...

Will you need to own FOG2 in order to enjoy that battle feature, or will it be

I was imagining FOG:Empires as an adjunct to an established game.
