How about setting the default to 0 ? That works too, the army organiser is not visible at all. If you set the default to 1 (Folded) there does not seem to be any effect and the armies are shown expanded just as if it is set to 2 (Expanded). Just to add my twopennyworth on the feature - if there wer...

'61 w/Kentucky
CSA declared cotton embargo and USA declared total blockade on the same turn. Only the blockade is shown as happening in the turn results.

I cant remember if that's normal?

No non nein, you simply have to un-select the unit you are displaying so the Unit Display/Log Display window has the log displaying in it again. The simplest way to do this is by right-clicking on the map anywhere not on a unit/stack. Once you have the log displaying you can open the ledger in the ...

Yes. As I said: known bug identified in beta. We're faced with a choice: wait for a long time to get a fix, or release "no harm issues" as-is for users until fixes get done.... Reminder: this is a 5 year old game, patches are free, and devs need to sell things to feed their families! :) Dont get me...

Make sure you don't have a stack selected [showing in the unit panel] Known bug, but easy to work around. OK but it's never happened to me before. Guess I'll have to re-learn how I use the interface or go back to the previous RC. lol. ETA Went back to RC9 just to see if it made a difference and the...

Happy Holidays. There is a thing in recent patch that I only slowly began to think about: distant unload. I have a question about it. How is the time for unloading calculated? Bug?

Ummmm....not really important but..... The USA side highlights as normal. It's as if the CSA element...

A new topic (or maybe an old one that I don't know about). There are two scenarios that are named "with Kentucky". If you haven't been following the development of the game assiduously from the begining, you'll have no idea what that means. Some people know about the neutrality problem, but given t...

Remove the limit - let the 'natural' constraints of available manpower, money, supplies and industry drive how we organise our armies, just as in real life, rather than artificial limits. Or if there is a really good reason to limit the number of division (e.g. the game will crash if there are more ...

I got too close to Charleston, so the CSA moved the capital yet again, this time to Mobile (Memphis was no longer available btw). So, I guess Mobile is a viable option too. Well yes why not? ..... And so the big issue becomes: how big will the penalty be to move the southern capital to New Orleans? Would this really be so damaging to southern morale? After all, most of their best generals and troops would still be fighting tooth and nail in Virginia. I wonder if a mov...

Heh, that's one way of looking at it! Victory and Capital Cities

I have completed a 'hot seat' game against myself. The CSA won in June 1862 by breaking through rather unexpectedly the USA front lines and 'blitzing' into and capturing a lightly defended Washington. I am now pondering the outcome. Without going into all the detail it would be fair to say that prio...
