Shiloh: Moving generals around to units with more cohesion, one army gets left out

Hello- I'm still kind of new to the game. I played through the Bull Run scenario on the Union side, and now I'm working on Shiloh, also from the Union side. I own BoA, and have played a few of those scenarios, so I am familiar with this kind of AGEOD game. I understand that it is important to have a...

Question about inactive generals

Hello- I'm new to the game, and I have gotten as far as playing through the Bull Run scenario. I have some questions and thought I'd start with this one: I was wondering, when a unit's leadership is inactive (i.e., has a closed envelope), and there is more than one general, are all the generals in t...

This only happened once, so why don't we assume it was a one-time fluke. Thanks.

Critical Error

Got this message (Civil War II): Sorry! A critical error has occurred. The application will be terminated... (and a couple files to send to support: log and saves). I was playing the second tutorial; at that moment I was looking at one of the boxes on the right and zooming out with the mouse wheel. ...

1778 Northern Scenario

I'm trying the 1778 Northern Scenario as the USA, and I feel like my hands are tied. I have no navy to speak of. The vast majority of my troops are concentrated with G. Washington in Reading. Nearby the British have control of Philadelphia with a force roughly the size of Washington's force. They ha...

I've been runing as admin, but I still get this error when my computer goes into standby. Of course the work-around is just to leave the computer on! And, as you said, save frequently.

And, the crash hasn't happened when task switching, so I guess that's an improvement. Thanks.

Wolfe's seige of Quebec

I've been playing the 1759 Annus scenario. In the beginning of the scenario, Wolfe's army is already in Kebec, in a position to put Quebec (city/fort/harbor/depot) under siege. All the regions surrounding Kebec are red, meaning they are controlled by France and the army can't move to any of those re...

I answered my own question. I did a search for my save file name, and I did find that it was in a different directory (in my user's directory). Everything's OK now. Thanks.

OK, I did that and the debug box went away. Thanks. More importantly, I was wondering why all my save files were gone. I had been running the game not as admin, and then I switched to running as admin. Would that make my save files inaccessible? Maybe it changes the directory they are saved in?

"Full Debug" box

The WIA program used to work fine, but now when I run it, a box shows on the left side of the screen with the heading "Full Debug," with these three lines: 25 FPS 0 ms mouse position (e.g. Map x: 236 Map y: 101) Thing UID:50005 This is on the main screen when the game comes up. If I try to restore a...

DirectX invalid call

I sometimes get this error message: "DirectX to Renderer invalid call (Burst Mode) [ ] Would you like to terminate the application?" and the application terminates. This is under Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite L755 laptop. It's a late-model machine, just bought it a few weeks ago. It seems to alwa...

Canadian Political State Abbrs.

Does anyone have a list of what the various Canadian political state abbreviations stand for (QC, UC, SL, EH, etc.)?
